Micromax Launches 5 Inch A110Q Canvas 2 With Quad-Core Processor For Rs 12,100

To expand its portfolio of highly successful Canvas range of smartphones, Indian handsets maker Micromax has quietly launched the successor to its Canvas 2 phone, the Micromax A110Q Canvas 2 Plus, on its website for Rs. 12,100.

The Micromax A110Q Canvas 2 Plus runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and sports a 5-inch  IPS screen with 480×854 resolution, and has MediaTek’s MT6589 chipset. It features an 8-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and autofocus and a 2-megapixel front facing camera. This smartphone is powered by  quad-core processor, which is clocked at 1.2GHz. and has 1GB RAM. The A110Q Canvas 2 Plus comes with 4GB internal storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The phone is packed with a 2,000 mAh battery, which Micromax  claims will have a standby time of 280 hours and talk time of 6 hours. The device supports Bluetooth 4.0, 3G and Wifi.
Micromax’s Canvas series of smartphones have got overwhelming response as they are available across different segments. Micromax has claimed that they have sold over a million units of Canvas series of smartphones and hence their strategy to encash the goodwill of this series by adding more models to this series on regular basis.
The Canvas series consists of  Micromax A100 the first Canvas phone, Micromax A72 Canvas Viva, Micromax A110 Canvas 2, Micromax A116 Canvas HD, which is most sought-after smartphone of Micromax, and which has received rave reviews, Micromax A115 Canvas 3D, Micromax A111 Canvas Doodle, Micromax A115 Canvas 3D, and recently launched  Micromax A88 Canvas Music.
In the days to come, we expect more Canvas series of smartphones to be launched by Micromax, and they are going to make life difficult for some Chinese brands like Gionee and ZTE, which has ambitious plans to enter highly competitive Indian market.
