Samsung Galaxy S4 Active Press Photos Hit The Web

Samsung Galaxy S4 Active Press Photo

As you probably know, Samsung Galaxy S4 is on the verge of becoming an entire family of devices, as the line-up will include the flagship model, in two variants (octo-core and quad-core), a Galaxy S4 Mini model, a camera phone called Galaxy S4 Zoom, and a water and dust resistant variant named Samsung Galaxy S4 Active. Some details and the official photo of the later one have recently hit the web.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Active has hit the web courtesy of the guys at @evleaks, the regular source of unannounced smartphone rumors, who posted the press photo of the handset. We already knew that the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active might debut during the Samsung Premiere event that will debut on June 20th in London. Codenamed J Active, the rugged Samsung Galaxy S4 handset will come with a 5-inch full HD display, a Snapdragon 600 chipset with four Krait 300 cores clocked at 1.9 GHz (just like the Galaxy S4 flagship), and it will debut in US through AT&T carrier.
The smartphone will sand out with its water and dust proof case, and it will probably be shock resistant, too, being a powerful competitor against Sony’s Xperia Z flagship.
I will also mention that Samsung Galaxy S4 Active will also come with 2 GB of RAM and an 8 megapixel camera instead of the 13 megapixel sensor mounted on the back of the original Galaxy S4. Just like the other water and dust proof smartphones, the Galaxy S4 Active will probably get IP57 certification (water resistant up to 1 meter and 30 minutes).
If the price is right the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active might become a very successful smartphone, as it will probably attract the clumsy Android enthusiasts. Both the hardware platform and the full HD display recommends it as a high-end smartphone, but unlike the Android flagships of 2013, the SGS4 Active will have an 8 megapixel sensor.
