Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-3-10.1

Samsung has just announced two new products: the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and the galaxy Tab 3 10.1.
The tablets have been rumored for quite a while, but they are now official and ready to join the 7-inch tablet, thus we have a new Samsung tablet line, the Tab 3. It seems that most of the rumors about the two handsets’ specs were accurate this time.
Firstly we have the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, which packs an 8-inch WXGA TFT screen with a pixel resolution of 1280 x 800 and a pixel density of 189ppi. The tablet is powered by a dual-core CPU clocked at 1.5 GHz, and includes 1.5GB of RAM. The device will be available in two versions depending of its amount of its internal storage, namely a 16 GB and a 32 GB model. In both cases, there is a sported a microSD card slot, so there is a way you can increase the amount of on-board storage.
If you had the chance to see the Galaxy tab 3 8.0 leaked photos, you certainly noticed the device’s slim bezel. Besides that, the tablet also comes with a 5 MP primary camera, and a 1.3 MP secondary one placed on its front.
Of course, considering that it’s a Samsung product you should expect the handset to include several Samsung applications and services (that not all of the users seem to like). However, the Galaxy tab 3 8.0 does come with some useful apps such as the Reading Mode, which allows the users to read e-books on the tablet without their eyes getting tired. The company claims that the reading experience will be the same as reading paper books, but let’s not get carried away.
There are other Samsung-exclusive apps included such as the Sound Alive for Audio purposes and Dolby Surround for video playback. Further, we have the S Translator function, which comes along with S Travel, that can be very useful when you decide to travel in various unknown places. Another feature, that is also available on the Galaxy S4 and present on the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 too, is Group Play. As for the operating system, the tablet will come running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean right out of the box.
Moving on, there have been some rumors suggesting the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 will be packing an Intel processor. Well, that rumors were very accurate because the tablet is indeed powered by an Intel CPU. Although the phone maker’s press release only says that the handset is underpinned by a dual-core CPU clocked at 1.6 GHz, according to Reuters, the processor is developed by Intel. The galaxy Tab 3 10.1 also comes with 1 GB of RAM, and 16/32 GB of on-board storage.
The display is similar to its little brother’s, being a WXGA TFT one, which has a 1280 x 800 resolution, only the pixel density being slightly different, of 149ppi. This tablet comes with a 3 MP rear-facing camera, and a 1.3 MP secondary one. Like the smaller version, the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 also runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
This model also includes a bunch of Samsung-developed applications, and you will be allowed to use the device along with your TV set. Among the plethora of features we can name the Smart Remote and the MHL link for TV Out.
Samsung has not offered details about the price tags of either tablets, but it did mentioned that both will become available for purchase all over the world starting June.
What’s your opinion? Are the two tablets worth buying?
