HTC One E8 Debuts In China, It’s a Revised, Plastic M8

HTC One E8

We’ve been hearing for a while that the Taiwan-based phone maker is readying a new handset called HTC One M8 Ace. It seems that, after all, the rumored One M8 Ace it’s actually called HTC One E8. The new terminal has been officially revealed on HTC China website and it has a lot in common with the HTC One M8 flagship.
The first thing you’ll notice about the HTC One E8 is that unlike the One M8 it doesn’t feature a an aluminium body. The HTC One E8 arrives with a plastic unibody and ditches the Dual 4MP UltraPixel camera set-up and the dual LED flash. Instead, the folks at HTC have integrated a 13 MP camera sensor.
Anyway, the HTC One E8 has a couple of things in common with the HTC One M8. It keeps the same Boomsound stereo speakers and it’s powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset with quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU. It might even feature the same 5.0-inch Super LCD3 display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, but there’s no official confirmation yet.
The HTC One E8 will be definitely cheaper than the One M8, but don’t hold your breath on it arriving in the States, as HTC seems to be focusing on the release of HTC One Mini 2 in the US.
