LG G Pad 7.0 Caught On Camera, More Details Emerge

LG G Pad 7 02

A couple of weeks ago, the folks at LG officially revealed that they are planning to extend their G Pad line-up with three tablets. The South Korean company also revealed that the three new tablets will be exhibited at MedPi 2014 in Europe. MedPi 2014 has opened its gates for the public and, as promised, LG is showcasing the G Pad 7.0 there.
LG has operated some very drastic changes in terms of design to the G Pad 7.0 and the 7 incher is quite different when compared to the G Pad 8.3. Instead of the aluminium black, the new LG G Pad 7.0 is made of plastic and thicker than LG’s 8.3-inch slate. The speakers are now located on back, at the bottom of the back cover, a position that is rather uncommon for tablets because it’s fairly easy to cover them with your hands while holding the device in portrait mode.
Even though the South Korea-based company didn’t reveal technical specifications of the LG G Pad 7.0 recent reports have indicated that the new tablet will be less powerful than the LG G Pad 8.3. If the reports prove accurate then the G Pad 7.0 is expected to have a 7-inch screen with 12080 x 800 resolution, while being underpinned by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. I remind you that the G Pad 8.3 has an 8.3-inch screen with 1920 x 1020 resolution and a quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor. The LG G Pad 7.0 is also expected to sport a 3.2 MP primary camera that doesn’t even pack an LED flash.
The LG G Pad 7.0 would most likely run Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box, of course, customized with LG’s proprietary user interface. Given the hardware specifications of the 7-inch tablet, the G Pad 7.0 would probably become LG’s budget option for 2014.
For the time being there’s no word on the G Pad 8.0 and the G Pad 10.1, but we are pretty sure that the South Korean company will reveal more details in the coming days.
